Marble Falls is part of Burnet County in Texas. While it is not a particularly large city population-wise (it has a population of 6,542), it has a great reputation and history. The Texas Film Commission (TFC) has recognized Marble Falls as a Certified Film Friendly Community. It is also famous for being founded by a Confederate General and electing Ophelia Crosby “Birdie” Harwood, the first female mayor of Texas, three years before women even received the right to vote.
